My granddaughter Beth is a real card, as all 24 months are at this point in their lives. Today she asked for a second piece of banana bread. I shocked her little ears by saying, "No, banana bread was all gone." She screamed, then squinted her little face and howled. Her Baka never says no. Finally, after a full blown temper tantrum and a time out she stopped crying. That little smarty ran and got her "baby" yelling, "Baby needs banana bread." She had her PopPop get her chair, and bib. Suddenly she began plopping baby in the highchair, strapping her in, putting on the bib, attaching the tray, then announcing "Baby needs banana bread." What could I do but get the banana bread out of the freezer and cut "baby" a slice. I put it on the tray. Beth pushed the banana bread toward "baby" and waited a short minute. "Baby is not eating the banana bread!" she screamed as she stuffed it into her mouth. Beth 1, Baka O.
